Structural Equation Model of Articles Covid-19 on Social Media to Health Literacy and Behavior Among Health Information Students

AUTHOR: EVINA WIDIANAWATI, WIDYA RATNA WULAN, IKA PANTIAWATI Abstract: The COVID-19 infodemic is spreading through social media and website requires people to be able to evaluate information during a pandemic. Health literacy is the key to evaluating the infodemic and to get the decision making on health behavior. Health information students primarily use digital technologies such as social media to get information about covid-19 so that students need to have good health literacy to evaluate infodemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of covid-19 article content on health literacy and health behavior among health information students. Data were collected using a questionnaire on 142 health information students then analyzed descriptively and using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method. The results of the descriptive analysis show that 70% of students access covid-19 information through social media mainly using Instagram, where more than half of students access covid-19 article content <= once a day by reading and liking the article. Based on the results of SEM, it is known that the most important factor of the article content is trustworthy content, the most important factor of health literacy is adherence to prevention and the most important factor of health behavior is reducing contact with other people. Development and Validation of Digital Health Literacy Competencies for Citizens (DHLC), an Instrument for Measuring Digital Health Literacy in The Community

Pandemic Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has been speeding up digital transformation in every sector. Implementation of digital technology in health should be supported by the community’s readiness, such as digital health literacy to achieve the goals, optimize health service performance, and blockage infodemics and miss information. Implementation of digital technology in health should be supported by the community’s readiness, such as digital health literacy to achieve the goals, optimize health service performance, and blockage infodemics and miss information. This study aims to develop a tool to measure digital health literacy in the community through three stages such as expert review, pre-test and field test. DHLC adopted the five competencies areas into 18 questions and put eight questions related to health literacy; the total items question of DHLC are 26 items questions. This study reveals that all of the score digital competencies areas below 4. Score 4 in DHLC indicates that the community still need guidance to doing activity in the digital environment. Elevating digital health literacy in the citizens is urgent to control the spreading misinformation and disinformation that could worsen pandemics. Acceptance and Use of PeduliLindungi Application in Patients Based on Digital Health Literacy Competence

District General Hospital (RSUD) Tugurejo Semarang already has a QR Code Scan to enter the building. However, many patients havenotused to utilizethe scanner. Therefore, the researcher aimed to determine the acceptance and use of the PeduliLindungi app based on patients’ digital literacy competence at RSUD Tugurejo, Semarang City. The research was descriptive and distributed questionnaires to 100 outpatients. The results showed that 41% of outpatients could use social media to communicate, and 31% used the internet to find health information. 54% of patients strongly agree that PeduliLindungi helped control Covid-19. The app’s acceptance and use were mainly in patients aged 18–27. Patients with education who did not graduate from high school had the lowest average usage, 51.29. The difference in digital literacy competency scores between female and male patients was relatively high, namely 136.6 in women and 124.46 in men. The average digital literacy competence in the expert category was 61.05. Education regarding the PeduliLindungi app is necessary, especially for patients in the non-productive age group. The Correlation Between e-Health Literacy Competencies and Self-management of COVID-19 Disease (Case Study of Health Information Managements Students in Semarang)

The COVID-19 pandemic has become a driving force in global adoption of digital technology such as the internet, including in Indonesia. Individuals need eHealth literacy to assess the information they are overwhelmed with critically. This study is the first paper exploring eHealth literacy related to self-management COVID-19. Method: This study used a case study approach. An online questionnaire was distributed to health information management (HIM) vocational students of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro and got 245 responses. The questionnaire was constructed and modified from eHeals and Corona Virus disease advice for the public from WHO. Result: This study reveals that competency in evaluation information is the lowest score than competencies in access, managing, and integrating health information. This study found that eHealth literacy related to self-management COVID-19 (r = 2.69, p = 0.000) means competencies managing health information in HIM students relate to knowledge, attitude, and practice COVID-19. Discussion: This study found that 6.5% of HIM’s students still believe in conspiracy theory and politics; furthermore, 71.4% are still unsure how to respond to this issue. Puskesmas Bandarharjo is the area with the highest TB sufferers in Semarang City. The discovery of pediatric TB cases at Puskemas Bandarharjo in 2016-2019 fluctuated up to 43 cases spread across 4 urban villages,. The high number of tuberculosis cases in Semarang City can be caused by low health literacy. Low health literacy will affect pulmonary tuberculosis prevention behavior so that it will increase the number of cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between health literacy and parental prevention behavior against cases of pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis at Puskesmas Bandarharjo, Semarang. Primary data collection was carried out by Puskesmas Bandarharjo cadres using a questionnaire The questionnaire contains questions that related the demographic characteristics, 10 questions about tuberculosis prevention behavior and 15 questions regarding health literacy. Tingginya angka kasus tuberkulosis di Kota Semarang dapat disebabkan oleh rendahnya health literacy. Health literacy adalah kemampuan seorang individu untuk memperoleh, memproses dan memahami informasi kesehatan dasar dan layanan yang dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan status kesehatan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara health literacy yang rendah dengan penggunaan layanan kesehatan yang tidak efisien dan merugikan status kesehatan. Petugas puskesmas merupakan stakeholder yang berperan penting dalam memberikan pemahaman optimal terkait health literacy. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui keterkaitan akses informasi dengan status health literacy petugas puskesmas. Penelitian ini mengukur dua variabel demografi dan akses informasi tuberkulosis yang dikaitkan dengan health literacy petugas puskesmas. Design penelitian observasional dengan sampel penelitian adalah seluruh petugas di Puskesmas Bandarharjo yang berjumlah 52 orang. Data diambil dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan chi-square untuk mengetahui hubungan masing-masing variabel. Sebanyak 75% responden adalah tenaga kesehatan. Sebagian besar responden (51,9%) memiliki lama kerja <5 tahun. Tingkat health literacy petugas terkait dengan tuberkulosis masih kurang (65,4%). Sebanyak 98,1% responden sudah pernah mendapatkan informasi tentang tuberkulosis.
